Determination of Hair Coat Types & Textures...

Typically there are only 3 hair coat types, Curly, Wavy & Straight, but they come with a multitude of variations! These coats can come in Tight Knit, Kinky, Large Barrel Curls, Loose Curls, Shaggy, Plush, Fleece, Wool, Flat & in rare instances, Wirey. It appears to be no true consistency when breeding a dog from 2 different breeds, whether it be F1, F1b or multigenerational, you will sometimes still get a variation of hair coats in 1 litter.

We like for the indicator of how a puppy will look as an adult to be the pictures our customers send us. Below you will find examples of the growth of Doodles hair. The pictures show the multiple phases, stages, & just how much they can change as they grow & mature. What a doodle looks like as a puppy is surely not always the adult outcome.
